Urban-gro expands with pest-management products
LAFAYETTE — Urban-gro, a Lafayette-based distributor of lighting solutions for cannabis growers, said Tuesday it has merged with Morrison-based Cannabis IPM Solutions, a provider of pest-management products for cannabis growers.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The companies will operate under the urban-gro brand, led by Bradley Nattrass, urban-gro’s chief executive.

John Chandler, founder and president of Cannabis IPM Solutions, will become vice president of cultivation technologies at urban-gro. Chandler has been managing and consulting for large-scale organic vegetable farms and greenhouses, as well as cannabis production facilities, since 2003. Chandler recently was designated a certified crop adviser by the American Society of Agronomy.
“I look forward to educating urban-gro’s extensive customer base on how to control powdery mildew, spider mites, root aphids and other pests in this rapidly changing regulatory environment,” Chandler said in a prepared statement.
Urban-gro has about 18 employees in Lafayette, where it designs and assembles customized lighting systems for clients. It uses components manufactured by P.L. Light Systems Inc. in Canada.
