Eco-Products inks deal to supply Minnesota Twins’ Target Field

BOULDER – Eco-Products Inc. has partnered with the Minnesota Twins baseball team to supply Target Field with hundreds of thousands of compostable cups, plates, trays, utensils and straws.

The move is part of the Twins’ effort to make all packaging used at the stadium either compostable or recyclable.

Founded in 1990, Eco-Products is a food-service products company based in Boulder that was acquired by Waddington North America in 2012.

While plastic bottles and aluminum will still be recycled at Target Field, all other concession items will be compostable. The Twins, according to a news release announcing the deal, had already achieved a 73 percent waste diversion rate in 2014.
