Solar Operations and Maintenance for Commercial Properties

One key qualification to consider when selecting a solar partner to install your system is whether they have an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) or service department. Since solar is a long-term asset with an expected lifecycle of 30 plus years, ongoing O&M should be considered up front. A trusted O&M partner will maximize your system’s energy output and therefor the return on your investment.

Participating companies will receive $20,000 in seed funding and mentoring from ArcView’s network of advisers in return for a 9.5 percent equity interest in each company. Mentors will help companies define business models, refine selling propositions, and focus on marketing and fundraising activities.

Adistry is creating an online advertising network for cannabis-related products and services.

Highest Reward wants to bring outsourced and data-driven human resources solutions to the cannabis industry.

Stashlogix is developing stash bags designed to enhance safety and security for cannabis consumers.

Other participating companies are:

Cannagrow, of Israel, is developing a smartphone-controlled desktop growing system for individuals.

ColoradoPotGuide.com, of Denver, is creating an online guide to cannabis in Colorado and beyond.

Glasshous, of Los Angeles, wants to create a high-end e-commerce head shop appealing to discerning consumers.

Healthy Headie Lifestyle, of Boston, is developing a direct-to-consumer sales distributorship for cannabis-related ancillary consumer products.

MRRB, of Providence, R.I., will maintain retail sales and consumer trends data and analysis for the cannabis industry.

Shivanysa, of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., is developing a brand for women interested in the cannabis industry.

Tradiv, of San Diego, Calif., is creating a technology platform for the B to B ecosystem for registered cannabis businesses.

CanopyBoulder’s co-founder and managing director, Patrick Rea, said more than 155 teams applied to be part of the first 12-week boot camp. The second boot camp with 10 other companies will take place in September.

Since ArcView and Canopy teamed up in December, they have raised $1.2 million for the project.

The startups will close out the boot camp by going on an investor roadshow together in June. They will present to the ArcView Investor Network, Rockies Venture Club and then participate in a Demo Day June 29 at the National Cannabis Industry Association’s Cannabis Business Summit in Denver.

The 10 companies will be introduced at 5:30 p.m., Monday, March 30 during a launch party and fundraiser for Students for Sensible Drug Policy at CanopyBoulder’s office at 3269 28th St. Suite 200. Steve DeAngelo, president of The ArcView Group, will address the group.
